Occurring every two years, the All-Dentist Musical (ADM) is a public presentation of a musical featuring a cast comprised of Manitoban Dentists. Professional and emerging local artists are engaged to lead the ADM creatively and in production, with funds raised being donated to charitable arts and dental related causes.

This musical’s net proceeds will be split between the Manitoba Dental Foundation (MDF) and the Rainbow Stage (RBS) Professional Mentorship Program.

Established in 2015, the MDF funds the improvement of oral health of the underserved of all ages, homeless and vulnerable in Winnipeg and Manitoba. On the other hand, the RBS Professional Mentorship Program, also established in 2015, provides paid training and on-the-job experience to nurture the next generation of arts leaders and theatre professionals.

Bloodsuckers! is a musical comedy with book, music, and lyrics by award-winning Manitoba playwright and composer, Joseph Aragon. Joseph is a two-time winner of the Harry Rintoul Memorial Award for Best New Manitoban Play and his musical Bloodless: The Trial of Burke and Hare received a Dora Mavor Moore Award nomination for Outstanding New Musical. We are so proud to be presenting the work of this incredible local talent for this year’s All-Dentist Musical!

To sum it up, the musical is fast-paced and filled with campy, cheesy, musical theatre fun, but it isn’t without its dramatic moments either, highlighting Aragon’s ability to write and compose both comedy and drama. Further, the story centers around a group of greedy American theme park developers who travel to Romania to negotiate plans for “Dracula Land” with a Transylvania landholder named Vlad. Singing, dancing, and bloodletting ensue.
